What do you think of Springfield Secondary holding it's first ever Talent Show?
I have been informed that there is a possibility of it happening. Being close friends with the president of the student council (Shikin), believe me when I say that there's a big chance of it being approved by the Principal. So far, we have discussed that it might happen during the Youth Day celebration, if not, then it will be held during the Teachers Day celebration. There will be 3 categories: Singing, Dancing & Others. We have not decided if it would be a peer-voting proccess to determine the winners or just by the teacher-judges. We are afraid of the competition turning into a popularity contest if we allow the peer-voting system. Shikin even thought of a name: I've Got What It Takes!
Anyhow, we need your thoughts on this. Should it happen? Should it not?
Although of the high possibility, there are little but important considerations we must take note of. First, we are afraid that the students' academics would be affected. Secondly, the time constraint. Would the students have enough time to rehearse since it's nearing towards the end of the year - EOY Examinations? Especially for the Secondary Two's where it's there streaming year this year? We are still extremely worried about this. Although the idea of Springfield's first ever Talent Show will surely give pleasure and excitement to all of us, in my opinion. You people want entertainment. We'll give it to you.
We really need your feedback.
Please post your comments/thoughts on this blog's tagboard. It is really needed before we proceed discussing about it at an even deeper level. Shikin and myself will be looking through them. We are really determined into making it happen. I am also aware that this term, the school will be issuing a suggestion slip? Regarding the Talent Show or not, I'm not entirely sure.
