hey dudes&dudettes.
English exam was today. I think I did fairly well. Won't get distinction though, that's for sure. GO WAN YIN!!! Haha. Ms Raniy's god-daughter. Make your god-mother proud! Lol, jkjk. As soon as I got home I checked AF.com for AI happenings. Neil Diamond Week. He said David's a child prodigy. Well, duh.
He sang "Sweet Caroline" and "America". Well, the judge's comments on David tonight... was
AWESOME! I couldn't have said it better. Simon says: It ticked all the boxes (whatever that means... but it's a good thing, I assure you) so I think I have nothing to worry about.... I hope.
AAAAHHH. I. am. creeping. myself. out.
I really hope Cook gets voted off (even though I know he wont) His rocker-smart-ass attitude and his ploy to get sympathy votes every week really gets on my fucking nerves. Yes, I admit that he's good but another rocker to add to the music industry? Ugh. No offence to those who likes rock music, just not my thing and... ugh... I just simply hate his fucking attitude.
THANK YOU FOR THIS
MASTERCLASSLADY:
David, Bobby and Davey papered the walls of my bedroom for a couple of years when I was a tween. These boys of the late sixties and early seventies were my teen idols.
When was the last time American Idol produced a Teen/Tween Idol? And I'm not talking about baby faces with limited talent and curly hair. I'm referring to truly gifted honest to goodness young talent. Someone that the teens and tweens can admire, enjoy and look up to. I am speaking about, you guessed it, David Archuleta.
Some bloggers write that David is too young. For who? Others state that he needs more life experience under his belt. For what? His continued choice of ballads probably aren't boring to the teddy bear clutching eleven year old girls watching. Comments have also addressed development..."Give him a few years" they say. If that is in reference to his voice, IMHO his vocal abilities rival those in their twenties. As far as any other development I'm sure he's looking just fine to those that are age appropriate.
On many blogs I've read complaints about teens and tweens over voting and swaying the results. I feel if those votes are falling on someone deserving based on ability than all is fair.
This blog is not asking fans of the equally talented remaining top four to hop on the Archuleta train. It's just that American Idol has already produced Rock idols, Country idols, Pop idols, Broadway star idols, Grammy and Academy Award winning idols......why not a Teen/Tween idol? David A. may not fit into these other catagories but why should he have to? He's a teen!
AMEN. MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE AMERICA.
